Meet Robin M.

What was life like before bariatric surgery?

Before my weight loss surgery I felt like I was a stranger in my own life. Let me clarify. My brain was “the old me” the one that wasn’t restricted from movement and from doing fun things with my family. I would be ready to ride a ride with my kids at Wonderful Amusement Park and wouldn’t fit in the seat belt or the bar wouldn’t close over my stomach. I suffer from Degenerative Disk Disease (DDD) and severe arthritis in my lower back. Living with chronic pain and fatigue is exhausting and extremely frustrating. It also contributed to my weight gain.

If you put off the decision to come in for a long time, why was that? What kept you from booking a consultation?

I considered having weight loss surgery after I couldn’t stand the situation I was in any longer and decided to take back my life!

What was it like to work with the team from the start of your journey to today?

The team at Panhandle Weight Loss Center was amazing to work with! Always very supportive and kind to me through the entire process

What is your life like now? What’s the #1 thing you love being able to do now?

Now after weight loss surgery 8/10/2023 was my surgery date and as of today 3/14/2024 I have lost 84lbs and feel terrific! I will continue to struggle with the pain from DDD but the weight loss has helped my pain tremendously. My anxiety and depression have resolved for the most part and feel so much better.
