Kelly Foust, Practice Administrator
Born and raised in the Texas Panhandle, Kelly has been a certified surgical technologist for over 15 years. Kelly’s genuine care and concern for her patient contributes to her success as one of Panhandle Weight Loss Center’s Bariatric Coordinators.
Her steadfast commitment to service is made evident, as she works with patient to direct the course of their weight loss journey. Joining the practice in June 2013, Kelly has gained extensive experience and dedication to the Center.
Outside of work, she extends her passion for service and care, to her two treasured daughters, Abby and Ava, and loving husband, Colin.
Cristy Ainsworth MSN, ARPN, PNP-C
Although born in Oklahoma, Cristy graduated from West Texas A&M in 2005 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She worked at Northwest Texas Hospital as a Registered Nurse for 11 years & spent most of her time in the ER department. During her time at NWTH, Cristy decided to pursue becoming a Nurse Practitioner online.
She graduated with her Masters degree in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, in October 2016 & started working for PWLC Shortly after. She is now certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Cristy is married & has three children, one daughter & two sons. When she is not at work, you can find her attending one of their games.
Piper Lockett, Physician Assistant
A love of people and a passion for high-quality medical care are hallmarks of Piper Lockett. It all started when Piper was a child. She knew she wanted to work in the medical field. From age 16 on, Piper worked or volunteered in a medical capacity. From working in family practice to EMT to urgent care to cardiology and now bariatrics, Piper’s knowledge and love of medicine has grown.
Piper was born in Georgetown, Texas. She graduated from Texas Tech University and then attended UT Southwestern Physician Assistant Program to obtain her Master’s degree in PA Studies. She spent time volunteering in Balfate, Honduras at Luma de Luz Hospital during PA school training. She graduated in 2004 and spent time working in urgent care in the Dallas area before moving into cardiology in College Station for 6 ½ years prior to moving to Amarillo. Patient care and interaction are two reasons why she is glad to be part of the team at Panhandle Weight Loss Clinic. Piper is a board certified Physician Assistant and is a member of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Piper is a wife and mother to three kids. When she’s not in the clinic or operating room, you might find her hiking in Palo Duro Canyon or living it up at Chuck E Cheese.
Brooke Himic, APRN, MSN, FNP-C
Brooke was born and raised in Lubbock, TX where she graduated high school from Coronado High. She then pursued an undergraduate degree in nursing, graduating from West Texas A&M in 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. Brooke then began working as a nurse and has experience in cardiology, orthopedic, and labor and delivery nursing. She then returned to West Texas A&M to complete her graduate degree.
She graduated in 2015 with a Master’s of Science degree in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and retains her registered nurse license. After graduation, she began working with Panhandle Surgical Group in July of 2015.
Brooke and her husband reside in Amarillo and they have two children.
