Meet Suzanne

What was life like before bariatric surgery?
As a funeral director I struggled with the daily duties. I struggled when pushing my family’s loved ones through the church or chapel. I struggled bringing their loved one into my care because I could hardly breathe when talking to the families I served. I had high blood pressure issues and anything would elevated it even with the meds I was on.

If you put off the decision to come in for a long time, why was that? What kept you from booking a consultation?
I talked to the doctors for almost 2 years before I finally took the leap of faith and had the surgery.

What was it like to work with the team from the start of your journey to today?
The team answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. They took the time to make me feel confident with my decision and made me feel valued and cared for.

What is your life like now? What’s the #1 thing you love being able to do now?
I love the fact that I can walk and not struggle to breathe! I can give my families that I serve the service they deserve without wondering if I am going to make it through the process of helping them.
