Meet Michael D.

What was life like before bariatric surgery?
Before I decided to have surgery, I was your typical yo-yo dieter. I would lose weight then gain it all back when I stopped. I was in constant pain. I couldn’t go and do what I wanted to do. Everyday I planned my day based on how many steps I had to take. I was miserable and had no hope of ever really changing my life.

If you put off the decision to come in for a long time, why was that? What kept you from booking a consultation?
I had a close friend of mine who had surgery. It was about a year after I decided it was the route for me. He had great success and I knew if I went down this road, I would be able to have great success as well.

What was it like to work with the team from the start of your journey to today?
They were great! From the front desk, to Wendy, to Dr. Bo, everyone was super helpful. Wendy and Dr. Bo really make you feel like they truly care about your success. They are amazing!

What is your life like now? What’s the #1 thing you love being able to do now?
My favorite thing about post surgery is that I can go and do anything I want to. I can shop where I want. I can walk where I want. I can run around with my kids. I really feel like there isn’t anything I can’t do now!

“I really feel like there isn’t anything I can’t do now!”
