What was life like before bariatric surgery?
I quit playing with my children because I was embarrassed. My clothes didn’t fit right, and finding clothes that did fit was exhausting and disheartening. I became type 2 diabetic, and my knees and back hurt all the time.

If you put off the decision to come in for a long time, why was that? What kept you from booking a consultation?

I did not feel I had the family support, so I didn’t do it. My kids had moved out, I got a divorce, and I was tired of being fat.

What was it like to work with the team from the start of your journey to today?

Everyone was truly helpful and supportive.

I can cross my legs and tie my shoes without feeling like all my oxygen was cut off.
