Meet Kathleen W.
What was life like before bariatric surgery?
I had been diagnosed with autoimmune disease (SLE/RA/Sjogrens) over 20 years ago and was dealing with chronic fatigue and weight gain for last 5 years. I had already retired. My first grandchild was born and I new that I had to do SOMETHING! My internist recommended bariatric surgery and that started my beginning to a much better me!
If you put off the decision to come in for a long time, why was that? What kept you from booking a consultation?
I had considered it about 5 years ago, but thought that I didn’t qualify due to my Autoimmune Disease.
What was it like to work with the team from the start of your journey to today?
Everyone has been very friendly and supportive through the whole process.
What is your life like now? What’s the #1 thing you love being able to do now?
I am more active, even playing Pickle Ball a couple times a week! I am doing something all the time. My daughter told me last week that my “light” was coming out again.
“My daughter told me that my “light” was coming out again.”
