What was life like before bariatric surgery?
My weight kept me from having an active lifestyle, it kept me from playing and spending time with my grandkids. I was frustrated with finding clothes to wear and just doing housework.

If you put off the decision to come in for a long time, why was that? What kept you from booking a consultation?
I decided to go for it when I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and the medication made me gain weight. I felt like I was in a vicious cycle of not being able to control my pain and being unable to lose weight.

What was it like to work with the team from the start of your journey to today?
Everyone there was great! They were very nice and non judgmental. They saw me for me and not just an obese person. Great team!

What is your life like now? What’s the #1 thing you love being able to do now?
I spent a whole day playing with my grandkids. We went to the park, feed the ducks and walked around the pond. I danced at a block party and even jumped on the trampoline with them! And the next day – I didn’t hurt!
