Piper Lockett, PA-C
A love of people and a passion for high-quality medical care are hallmarks of Piper Lockett. It all started when Piper was a child. She knew she wanted to work in the medical field. From age 16 on, Piper worked or volunteered in a medical capacity. From working in family practice to EMT to urgent care to cardiology and now bariatrics, Piper’s knowledge and love of medicine has grown.
Piper was born in Georgetown, Texas. She graduated from Texas Tech University and then attended UT Southwestern Physician Assistant Program to obtain her Master’s degree in PA Studies. She spent time volunteering in Balfate, Honduras at Luma de Luz Hospital during PA school training. She graduated in 2004 and spent time working in urgent care in the Dallas area before moving into cardiology in College Station for 6 ½ years prior to moving to Amarillo. Patient care and interaction are two reasons why she is glad to be part of the team at Panhandle Weight Loss Clinic. Piper is a board certified Physician Assistant and is a member of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Piper is a wife and mother to three kids. When she’s not in the clinic or operating room, you might find her hiking in Palo Duro Canyon or living it up at Chuck E Cheese.
