Bleu Schniederjan, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.A.S.M.B.S

Dr. Schniederjan was born in Amarillo, TX and was raised on a farm near Dalhart, TX. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in agronomy from Texas Tech University. In 2004, he graduated medical school from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Upon graduation from medical school, he was awarded the Gold Headed Cane, an honor given to him by his peers.  He completed his general surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, where the majority of his training was in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery, and was awarded Chief Resident of the Year. After residency, he and his wife Lacie moved to New York City where he did 6 months of cardiothoracic surgery fellowship training at Weill-Cornell Medical College. He made a decision to move back near home to focus on his family.

Dr. Schniederjan is a board certified general surgeon. He is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. He completed a mini-fellowship in bariatric surgery at the Cleveland Clinic under Dr. Philip Schauer. His passion is to help patients lose weight and to become healthier.

Dr. Schniederjan and his wife have 2 young daughters, Emerson and Ella.
